Since 2015, I have been teaching here at Cheney High School, and I love teaching at CHS because, once upon a time, I loved being a student here. After graduating, I took time to find what I wanted to be when I grew up. I eventually found myself in North Carolina and earned my BA in Literary Studies and then my MA in Secondary English Education from the University of North Carolina.

I student taught all around the east coast of NC and finished my student teaching at San Pedro High, in Belize. Go Sharks! I spent a year at New Hanover High in Wilmington, NC. Go Wildcats! Then my adventures finally brought me back home when I joined Cheney High. Go Black Hawks!

In my free time, I am a voracious reader, an excitable mom, an enthusiastic bee-keeper, an adventurous scuba diver, a wannabe dog whisperer, an avid doodler, and a learner every single day.
