1 November: Metamorphosis Part I

Objective:

I can pull textual evidence to support my analysis of a text and read to understand the stylistic choices made by the author (RL 1 & 4).

Entry Task:

As you come into class, grab your binder, and we will finalize any of our previous day’s work as needed and then play a round of Blooket to focus on our unit vocabulary.

What’s Going On:

We will begin our reading of Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. As you follow along to Part I, answer the style analysis questions and connections to our unit essential question: What makes us human?

After reading, we will spend some time discussing today’s reading focusing on the last two questions in today’s reading packet. Be prepared to share out.

Exit Task:

Spend the last few minutes adding details to your answers and asking any questions you may have about today’s reading. Keep this work clipped into the back of your notebook to use later.
