I can assess my growing vocabulary skills and apply feedback to my writing to write a complete, detailed essay analyzing themes with textual evidence (L3, W 4/9, & RI 1/2).
Entry Task:
As you come in, clear your desks of everything except your laptops. We will start the day by completing Vocabulary Quiz 1 using the form posted in Google Classroom.
What’s Going On:
The remaining class time is yours to work on your guided essay. Apply the writing feedback you received to improve your writing and complete your first essay by first completing the template and then typing in the posted Google Classroom assignment.
Exit Task:
Self-assess your essay by highlighting the rubric boxes in yellow in the Google Classroom assignment and turn in your work.
