3 November: Metamorphosis Part III

Objective:

I can pull textual evidence to support my analysis of a text and read to evaluate the effectiveness of a story told through a variety of mediums (CCSS 11-12 RL 1 & 4).

Entry Task:

As you come into class, grab your binder and prepare to play a round of Blooket to check in with our unit vocabulary.

What’s Going On:

Today is yours to work independently to finish reading Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. You get to choose how you would like to read Part III: using the traditional text or the graphic text.

If you have fallen behind in the text, use this time to begin where you have left off to catch up. Spend time adding details to your answers and asking any questions you may have about today’s reading. Keep this work clipped into the back of your notebook to use later.

Exit Task:

At the end of class, we will have a short four-corners discussion about the simple themes you see in the novel.
