17 January: Iranian Hostage Crisis & Persepolis (80-93)

Objective:

I can explain how specific incidents impact and reveal aspects of characters, and describe how authors communicate this through text and images (RL/RI 3 & 5).


Entry Task:

As you come in, grab your notebook and log in to Google Classroom to start with an EdPuzzle as a class. Today we will be focusing on the Iranian Hostage Crisis.


What’s Going On:

After our EdPuzzle and discussion, the rest of the day is yours to focus on Persepolis pages 80-93. Once you are done, keep your work in your notebook for now. At the end of the week, you will select your writing to be assessed and all others will count for participation.


Exit Task:

We will spend the last few minutes of class playing a round of Blooket with our unit vocabulary.
