I can reflect on my previous writing and write a detailed, analytical essay exploring a universal theme within a novel (RL 2 & W4).
As you come into class, we will discuss your previous thematic analysis essay by revisiting the rubric and an example essay. After our discussion, your previous essay from our Current Worldview unit will be returned to you.
For three assessment points, reflect on your previous essay; consider what was discussed about the essay and the rubric and view your rubric score. In a private comment in the Google Classroom assignment, answer the following questions:
Do you agree with your rubric score? Why or why not?
What is your goal for your next essay based on your previous score and our discussion?
If you did not write an essay, share an honest reason you did not write one, what is your motivation for trying our next essay, and explain what your goals are for our next essay.
