22 September: Presentations & Intervention Time

Objective:

I can formally present information related to my selected career as part of a panel interview (SL 5 & 6) and use my remaining time wisely to improve my grade and show my skills.


Entry Task:

As you come in, sit in a seat where you can be a respectful audience member for today’s presentations. If you are called on to be a panel member, you will be assessing another student’s presentation; all students are expected (and graded) to be respectful audience members by listening and staying off electronic devices.


While we are getting set up to begin today’s presentations, log in to Skyward and view your current grade and consider your goal grade. Use the sticky note on your desk to make a list of any missing or redo assignments you could use to improve your grade.


Intervention/Extension:

After today’s presentations, choose between the following activities to work on for the remainder of our class time:

  • Work on missing/redo work

  • Complete comprehension minutes in Lexia (login to lexiapowerup.com)

  • Complete the extension resume assignment (posted in the Wednesday/Thursday assignment in week 3 of Google Classroom)

  • Complete an extension CCC Write (posted in week 4 of Google Classroom)


At the end of the day, complete the intervention/extension reflection for today’s participation points. Turn this into the bin at the front of the room.
