Objective:

I can use a variety of materials and texts to evaluate my current knowledge of the continent of Africa and grow my understanding of colonialism to apply it to our upcoming novel (RI 10).

Entry Task:

As you come into class, select a partner and grab a vocabulary exploration sheet off the front table. Answer the prompts with your partner, without looking up any of the words, to begin exploring our unit vocabulary.

What’s Going On:

After we briefly look over our unit vocabulary and set our binders up with our new unit tab, we will go check out copies of our unit text: Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

When we return, take out your laptop and access our webquest posted on Google Classroom. Move through the provided links to answer the questions.

Exit Task:

Be sure to turn your webquest in through Google Classroom.

If time permits, we will end the day with a round of Blooket to focus on our new unit vocabulary.
