Objective:
I can follow along with a guided reading to help improve my close reading abilities, add to what I know about a region by gathering information from various sources, and use this information to have a greater understanding and appreciation of literature from the region (RI 1, 2, 7, & 10).
Entry Task:
As you come into class grab a new unit tab, vocabulary list, and a packet off the front table. Spend some time filling in the KTQ chart on the first page.
What’s Going On:
Today we are moving on to our next unit and our next region of the world: The Middle East. Because of recent news and history, we have been exposed to various bits of information about Middle-Eastern countries. We will discuss your KTQ chart together to build up our knowledge as a class before moving on to a guided CommonLit reading.
Exit Task:
Spend the remaining class time expanding your knowledge of the Middle East by completing the webquest posted to Google Classroom.
