6 September: Vocabulary & Writing Pre-Assessments

Objective:

I will complete a series of pre-assessments focused on assessing my current vocabulary and writing skills (L 3 & W 4).


Entry Task:

As you come in, be sure all cell phones are silenced and stored away, and spend the first few minutes of class moving around the room to complete a scavenger hunt form by finding classmates that fit each category. See me for a prize if you fill all the categories!


What’s Going On:

Today we will start by setting up our Google Classroom and then complete a pair of pre-assessments to assess your current vocabulary and writing skills. We will go over the expectations and directions for each before you individually complete them on Google Classroom.


Exit Task:

Submit your work using the turn-in button on Google Classroom. If you finish the pre-assessments with class time remaining, complete an About Me Cover Sheet to add to the cover of your binder.
