Objective:
I can determine two or more themes or central ideas of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to develop my own ideas around the two themes to determine my own beliefs (RL 2).
Entry Task:
As you come into class, prepare for a round of Blooket to study words from lists 5 & 6 for our quiz at the end of the week. Then grab your notebook and a packet from the front table.
What’s Going On:
Today we will continue reading Station Eleven. As we read, you will have guided reading questions to help you keep track of the plot and the characters. Remember: my expectation is that you do not have your phone out at any point during our reading; read along with your copy of the book or work on provided coloring pages on days we are listening if this helps you to focus.
Exit Task:
After reading, we will examine a selection of quotes to make connections to today’s reading, and we will brainstorm important events from today’s reading to plot on our timeline.
