Objective:
I can identify various poetic devices within many poems, and I can begin to use technology to create an in-depth research project inspired by poetry (L 5, W 7 & 9).
Entry Task:
As you come into class, prepare to play a round of Blooket to focus on our unit terms.
What’s Going On:
Today we will go over your project for this unit: Poetry Research Journey. Together we will go over the requirements, the rubric, and an example project.
After overviewing the project, you will begin by selecting your focus author with your first poem. Complete your title slide, add in your first poem, and begin identifying the poetic devices (slides 1 & 2).
Exit Task:
Find a good pausing point for the day and use your Project Planner to record your progress. Show this to me for today’s participation points and then clean up around you.
